  • Career Successes You Have Had in Pediatric Oncology: I've been part of the Camp Mak-A-Dream staff (located outside of Missoula, Montana) for over 28 years, serving in a number of roles involving fundraising, board development, strategic planning, event management, program development and camp management.
    We have grown our programs at Camp Mak-A-Dream from one week of camp (when we opened in 1995) to up to 18 programs per year serving children, teenagers, young adults, brain tumor survivors, adults with cancer, family camps and caregiver retreats - and to date, have served over 13,000 participants from all 50 states and several foreign countries.
    During the pandemic, we also ran two years of more than 20 weeks of virtual programs and monthly online meet-ups for participants.
    I have overseen camp operations for over a decade, hired staff and lead successful fundraising and outreach efforts.
