Olympics Day is a staple at Camp Periwinkle. The whole camp is divided into two teams (this year we were the Red-Hot Chili Campers and the Blue Tornadoes) and compete in the wackiest and craziest games that you can imagine. Including but not limited to games like musical inner tubes, duck duck splash, and Yeti Race (which involves a counselor being covered head to toe in shaving cream). The day culminates with a relay race, where the camp cheers as the respective team captain get covered in an assortment of food in an epic relay race. Even though each year the Olympics always ends in a tie, it is one of our campers’ favorite memories.
Why You Should Vote for Me:
A lot of camps do camp Olympics, but there isn’t anything quite like a Camp Periwinkle Olympics. They remember the silly names of the teams and the chants that we yell. They remember the new wacky games they play, they recount all these memories to their parents back home and their doctors and nurses in clinic.
