Entry Background/Description: Because Special Love's programming was still virtual in 2021, we decided to embrace the circumstances and strive to provide programs that would appeal to kids at home or in the hospital, no matter where those were located.
Why You Should Vote for Me: Virtual programming of any kind was getting stale by the second year of the COVID pandemic and, unlike many camps, we were not able to return to in-person OR overnight camping.
Our staff did an amazing job within the confines of virtual programming of creating engaging programs featuring volunteer presenters from across the country.
With their help we were able to prove that community is wherever people feel connected - even online.
