- Entry Background/Description: Camp Sunshine hosted a fundraising event to celebration our 40th anniversary. The event was an evening of cocktails, dinner, and program held at The Atlanta History Center, February 24,2022. During dinner a slide show of photos from our 40 years of camp programs was ran continuously. A special video with interviews of our founder, Executive Director, and camp alumni was shown. Our featured speaker was a former camper from 1985 who is now a professor in psychiatry whose research is on PTSD. She shared the impact of camp on her life and her field of study. The board announced they were establishing a fund to permanently endow our scholarships for alumni.
- Why You Should Vote for Me: This was a special fundraising event that is not held annually but celebrating a milestone 40 years of camp! We grossed over $400,000 with expenses of under $74,000, which is 18% of gross.
