Entry Background/Description: During our alternative camp structures during the 2022 summer camp year, Camp Heart Connection held extended Family Camp sessions. Camp Heart Connection has held a number of Family Camps over the years for the entire family to attend for the weekend. These weekend programs are intended to provide the opportunity for the families we serve to come together and connect with other families who have gone through a similar childhood cancer journey. Our family camp weekends include activities such as horseback riding, rock wall climbing, zip lining, arts and crafts, songs, campfires and s’mores, and much more. In 2022 we decided to add our typical Oncology and Sibling Camp All Camp Dance to our Family Camp sessions!
Why You Should Vote for Me: During the All Camp Dance the entire family was able to cut back, relax, and dance the night away. Families and staff all enjoyed an evening of excitement and comfort!
