  • What Should the Voters Know?: As a small organization, with three staff members, we rallied in 2021 to safely run camp. We, along with our volunteers, transitioned a summer where we'd typically host two week-long camp sessions and a single-day Mini Camp and held three in-person family camp sessions (hosting this type of camp was new to us) and two virtual camp sessions! Our family camps served 39 families/144 individuals. Virtual Camp Goodtimes served 43 campers. Virtual Mini Camp served six campers.

We used "The Great Experiment" theme across all camps and created programming that included science, trying new things, and fun challenges all while using new protocols and podding for in-person sessions. Virtual campers were sent a care package full of goodies to their home with all the supplies needed to participate, as well as themed giveaway items. Family camp attendees were welcomed with a care package of useful (picnic blanket and stadium chairs) and playful items.

Based on our post-camp surveys and participant feedback, we know that we accomplished our mission of safely spreading hope, love, and joy. “The kids loved all the fun and silliness that gushed from the team members. Our favorite events were: Mentos-soda drop, free time/swim, volcano and robot builds. I loved how my kids each enjoyed different things--I loved that there was something for everyone.” --Family Camp participant
