Entry Background/Description: The Periwinkle Kickball Classic began back in 2014 and shows how coming together as a community can make a real difference for a good cause. Over the years, it's managed to raise more than $345,000 to support the Periwinkle mission, which is pretty amazing, especially since it's all thanks to people helping each other out. The Kickball Classic has two divisions: one for those who just want to have fun, and another for those who are super competitive. It's open to all kinds of people, from Long-Term Survivors who make their own teams to regular folks who get their friends and family involved. Teams use social media to get donations, and the team that raises the most money gets a pizza party. Anyone who's 14 or older can join in, and it's all about coming together, raising money, and giving back to the community.
