Entry Background/Description:
Christmas in June 2023... This was the first year we did a "Christmas in June" theme and the first year we coordinated our camp theme with our tee shirt designs. This shirt is extra special. The basic design was created by one of our volunteers who passed away in 2019. Knowing her health was declining, she created about a dozen tee shirt designs to be used in the years ahead. We tweaked the design to coincide with the them, but the basic elements belonged to our beloved volunteer. It was a great way to keep her spirit alive during camp.
Summers are hot in MS so we went with lighter more comfortable colors. We chose the lavender for the volunteers and a light sea-foam green for the campers.
