Entry Background/Description: Camp Delight recently moved to our new home, Camp McCarthy in Carbonear, Newfoundland. The community of Carbonear welcomed us with open arms! During camp we enjoyed numerous unprompted visits from community members, such as the Mayor and the Fire Department. A local firefighter recently lost a child to cancer, and his colleagues decided that they will get involved with Camp Delight as a way to show their support. Our campers loved learning about the firefighters' gear and had the chance to try it on! Many campers, including the child in this photo, were very inspired!
