- Entry Background/Description: September 8-10, 2023 we ran our first Adolescent Young Adult Retreat. It was a great success. The retreat was staffed by the Executive Director, physician, resident, counselor, child life specialist and program staff. We hosted a group of 13 participants featuring activities such as goat hiking, yoga by the lake, messages at sunset, facials by Mary Kay, giant swing, hydro dipping, zip line and nutrition/wellness build your own campfire meals. We tackled topics relevant to oncology young adults such as college and career, survivor guilt, what's next after treatment and relationships.
