WCK runs a Day Camp in partnership with a local school district. We have student work experience students training and facilitating camp. Since we are based out of a school close to the hospital, families can come and go to/from appointments, we recognize we need to bring the magic of camp to the school. Our Wood Working program is where campers get to be hands-on with saws, drills, hammers and learn how to use these tools in a safe and fun way. The program is designed so kids can do as much as possible, from the prep to the final project.
Why You Should Vote for Me: WCK is proud that we are bedazzling a school to bring the camp magic to kiddos who need to be close to home or hospital. We love the woodworking projects as it teaches safety, all the while empowering kids to feel confident in something new. We are the only day camp in British Columbia who are running a medically sueprvised day camp and we are constantly looking at new programming to empower the campers and provide the environment for kids to be kids.
