Entry Background/Description: The Wall of Hands originated in the very early days of Camp Delight. It is so synonymous with Camp Delight that it is incorporated into our logo.
As part of our Reflections activity, campers and volunteers trace their hand on a colorful piece of fabric. This is done during your first year at camp. All handprints are added to our Wall of Hands, which are large white sheets of fabric. Next to your handprint you write your name and the year. Every year that you return to camp you add the year next to your handprint.
Why You Should Vote for Me: The Wall of Hands now cover most surfaces in our camp dining hall. Our campers and volunteers are excited to add another year to their handprint each summer. We also take time to reflect and remember those who are unable to add the year next to their handprint. Even though we miss our friends we know that a piece of them is at camp in the form of our Wall of Hands.
